Preparing For Your Mammogram

"Many women are afraid of their first mammogram ..."

We regret the inconvenience to you, but the author of the book AND HOW ARE WE FEELING TODAY? The Impatient Patient's Hospital Survival Guide by Kathryn Hammer (McGraw-Hill/Contemporary Books, copyright 1993) has politely and eloquently requested removal of her copyrighted piece, Preparing For Your Mammogram, from this site.

At the time we posted this piece, it was thought to be a joke, a humorous piece about mammograms. After hearing from Ms. Hammer, we learned it was an excerpt from her book. Wisthing to preserve another's work, we removed the piece post haste.

To help you find other references on the web for Kathryn Hammer, you should go to Google dot com and input the search term, Kathryn Hammer or AND HOW ARE WE FEELING TODAY? The Impatient Patient's Hospital Survival Guide by Kathryn Hammer, or you can input the search term, Preparing For Your Mammogram, and quite possibly find other references to her extremely funny piece elsewhere.

It is my hope that regardless of what you find of this author's work on the Internet, that you respect and protect her copyright and purchase this book or others that she has written.

For your convenience, you can use the Amazon box below to buy her book.

I can assure you, if the excerpt that I previously displayed on this site is anywhere similar to the mammogram piece inside the book AND HOW ARE WE FEELING TODAY? The Impatient patient's Hospical Survival Guide, then it is fully worth every penny spent on it. This author is talented!

Unfortunately, when receiving humorous pieces via email, one doesn't always receive the pieces in their entirety, including the name of the author. I previously posted the humorous Preparing for your Mammogram piece on my site as I felt it was a humorous look at the unpleasant and dreaded mammogram experience and I felt it went along with my own written piece on mammograms, Get Your Mammogram Today which is a reality check and warning for women to obtain regular mammograms and perform monthly checks on themselves.
