We regret the inconvenience to you, but the author of the book AND HOW ARE WE FEELING TODAY? The Impatient Patient's Hospital Survival Guide by Kathryn Hammer (McGraw-Hill/Contemporary Books, copyright 1993) has politely and eloquently requested removal of her copyrighted piece, Preparing For Your Mammogram, from this site.

At the time we posted this piece, it was thought to be a joke, a humorous piece about mammograms. After hearing from Ms. Hammer, we learned it was an excerpt from her book. Wisthing to preserve another's work, we removed the piece post haste.

Unfortunately, when receiving humorous pieces via email, one doesn't always receive the pieces in their entirety, including the name of the author.
